Police Log for Nov. 14, 2012

All calls were responded to within the City of Hood River Oct. 30-Nov. 7.

Assaults, harassment, menacing and domestic violence:

Oct. 31 — Sieverkropp Drive — Officer took report of harassment.

Oct. 31 — May Street — Two juvenile males were arrested for assault III.

Oct. 31 — Ninth Street — Male reported being assaulted after an argument.

Oct. 31 —Second Street — Officer conducted an investigation regarding an adult slapping a juvenile in the face. The adult was arrested for assault IV and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

Nov. 1 — Fourth Street — Male reported he was assaulted at a local bar.

Nov. 3 — Oak Street — Hood River resident arrested for assault IV, domestic violence and strangulation.

Nov. 6 — May Street —Officer took report of child abuse that had occurred sometime in October.

Controlled substance violations (non-DUII):

Oct. 31 — Eighth Street at Heights Avenue — Male cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

Nov. 1 — Second Street at Oak Street — A Forest Grove resident was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Nov. 1 — Second Street at Oak Street — A White Salmon resident was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Nov. 3 — Wasco Street, 2700 block — A Hood River resident was arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and lodged at NORCOR.

Disorderly conduct, mischief, criminal trespass and vandalism:

Oct. 31 — Fourth Street, 100 block — Officer took report of graffiti on a building.

Driving under the influence of intoxicants:

Nov. 4 — Pacific Avenue at Woods Court — Hood River resident arrested for DUII alcohol and lodged at NORCOR.

Nov. 5 — Belmont at 18th Street — Male pulled over after driving erratically. He consented to field sobriety tests, which he failed, and was arrested for DUII and possession of methamphetamine. He was lodged at NORCOR.

Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud:

Oct. 30 — Third Street, 1000 block — Officer took information regarding identity theft.

Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds:

Oct. 30 — 13th Street at Belmont Avenue — Officer responded to a motor vehicle accident. Both drivers were uninjured and one vehicle had to be towed. Both were issued a traffic crash report.

Oct. 31 — Cascade Avenue at Seventh Street — Male cited and released for hit-and-run property after he backed into a parked car and fled the scene.

Nov. 6 — Oak Street at Ninth Street — Officer responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash. The driver was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Outstanding warrants, parole, probation or terms violations:

Oct. 31 — W. Cascade Avenue, 3300 block — Male arrested for probation violation.

Nov. 2 — 12th Street at Nix Drive — A juvenile was arrested on a probation violation.

Nov. 2 — I-84 at milepost 64 — A Baker City resident was cited and released on a warrant out of Baker County, but lodged at NORCOR for an active warrant out of Crook County.

Nov. 4 — Marina Way — Transient arrested on a warrant out of Troutdale.

Theft, burglary or robbery:

Oct. 31 — E. Port Marina Drive, 700 block — Officer investigated a burglary that occurred at the Chamber of Commerce. Two computers and some money were taken.

Nov. 3 — May Street, 2800 block — Officer took a stolen vehicle report.

Nov. 4 — Cascade Avenue, 3600 block — Female reported the theft of a cellphone out of her purse.

Nov. 5 — May Street, 1600 block — Officer took report of a juvenile male involved in a theft.

Nov. 7 — State Street, 300 block — Officer dispatched to take a report of items stolen from a recovered vehicle.

Nov. 7 — 12th Street, 1700 block — Officer dispatched to a local store to contact a juvenile male who had been caught shoplifting. He was cited and released to his father.

Nov. 7 — Wasco Street, 2400 block — Officer took report of a cold burglary that had occurred at a residence.
