Hall of Fame night, Booster club fundraiser Oct. 26
Join Hood River Valley Booster Club and the newest inductees into the Hood River Valley High School Hall of Fame on Oct. 26 for an evening of socializing and high school football. Activities will begin before the HRV vs. The Dalles-Wahtonka football game with a barbecue fundraiser for the HRV Booster Club, which provides funding for sports programs and clubs, the annual Luau, the senior all-night party and more. The barbecue will start at 6 p.m. at the football field. A silent auction with handmade desserts will also be held that night at the Eagle’s Nest for the same fundraising purposes.

I Can't Keep Quiet singers at "Citizen Town Hall"
‘I can’t keep quiet,’ sing members of an impromptu choir in front of Hood River Middle School Saturday prior to the citizen town hall for questions to Rep. Greg Walden. The song addresses female empowerment generally and sexual violence implicitly, and gained prominence during the International Women’s Day events in January. The singers braved a sudden squall to finish their song and about 220 people gathered in HRMS auditorium, which will be the scene of the April 12 town hall with Rep. Greg Walden, at 3 p.m. Enlarge
