Deadline is April 20 for Saturday Market vendors

Hood River Saturday Market is accepting applications until April 20 for new vendors for the 2013 market season, beginning May 4. Even if you have sold at this market in the past, you must fill out a new application each year.

Interested persons are asked to read the guidelines on the HRSM website (http://hrsaturdaymarket.wordpress.com) and print up the application and release of liability form located above under “Vendor Guidelines.” Specific things the market is still looking for include (but are not limited to):

n organic fruits and vegetables

n sprouts and microgreens

n dried fruit

n preserves, pickles and fermented foods

n cheese

n locally roasted coffee

n wine and beer (sold in bottle only)

n hot foods (tacos, fish and chips, paninis, breakfast burritos, etc.)

n ice cream, smoothies, sorbets, gelatos

n pasture-raised meats

n eggs (chicken, duck, goose)

n art (photography, paintings, sculpture)

n fiber and fiber arts

I Can't Keep Quiet singers at "Citizen Town Hall"

‘I can’t keep quiet,’ sing members of an impromptu choir in front of Hood River Middle School Saturday prior to the citizen town hall for questions to Rep. Greg Walden.
