Contributed photos The effects of Cherry Leaf Roll virus are shown in a block of trees in northern Oregon. The disease causes trees to decline to the point that hardly any fruit is produced. The only way to stop spread of the virus is to remove the infected tree, says an OSU plant pathologist. At right, the same block of trees is shown on Google Earth before the virus.
